Loved it!
The room was a lovely surprise. A comfortable bed and bathroom so very close and I got my exercise walking the steps and walking to the Institutions many events. Also, the kitchen was well supplied with everything needed to prepare meals. Thanks for your hospitality.

Always A Pleasant Stay
We stumbled upon this place a few years ago when looking for a place for 1 night while visiting for a Jay Leno show. We have since returned for now our second summer staying for a week (or more) at a time. This place is awesome and Jen is a great host. The housekeepers are also super nice and do a great job. We will continue to come back to The Summer House Inn.

cudos on creating such a magical place... the ambience is truly a correct mix of vintage patina and ole chautaqua... your attention to detail and the diddly thangs that make or break a stay at chautauqua (seat pads, umbrellas, coffee filters, daily newspaper, schedules, places to find food ..etc etc etc..) r both noteworthy and help to make your inn a perfect landing pad for first timers like us had expected to cross paths with u but everyone we encountered here this week was helpful, friendly and approachable.... u have postitioned your inn to be a magnet for a nicely eclectic strata of the chautauqua rainbow of personalities and your pricing is most appreciated for this retired elementary school teacher who doesn't possess a retirement fund in the 7 digit range.... given your location and the well stocked, clean and functional group kitchen... u r without doubt... the best value on this side of the chautauqua gates... every inch of your inn was clean, and in good repair... the 2 lithuanian housekeepers were delightful....cant remember when i last had 2 lituanian college grads as house keepers ( a lawyer and a biologist)....as a former environmental scientist of Latvian heritage... that made for some fun encounters.... appreciate the support and guidance in coordinating our first week ever at chautauqua .. great week... in no small part..thanks to u, yer staff and your facility would like to make the summer inn my annual portal to the unique conclave that will be celebrating 151 years running next season

A great week at Chautauqua!
The Summer House owner and her staff were very friendly and helpful. All of the services (refrigerators, coffee makers, toasters etc.) made my stay very enjoyable. The room itself was perfect, too.
