You don't get a place like this often!!
The standout was you feel you're part of a family the minute you arrive. Jen genuinely bends over backward on requests as do other members of the family, lovely people. You meet friends there not just other guests. We stayed 3X in 2024 and had Room #11 -comfortable twin at the front door. The other 2 stays were in #26 which is up half a flight and was equally comfortable. Porches are what make CHQ special and there is no lack of them at Summerhouse both the front and some just down the hall on upper floors. The shared kitchen is where you can dine with your new friends and meet more! A section of fridge shared with about 4 others is yours and this is home so you clean up after yourself. Most people do this admirably. There are microwaves, toasters and toaster ovens so bring appropriate foods (no oven but portable burners are available) We've already booked for 2025!
