Again, this year The Summer House was my choice. Why? 1) Value - Jen Webler's Summer House Inn has a variety of rooms. I have stayed in about four different rooms and all were a bargain. All of them had an outdoor porch. There is 24-hour access to a community kitchen (which is very helpful to me as I need to prepare vegan foods). There is ample storage room for perishables & dry goods. There are tons of dishes and pots and pans, as well as tables and chairs. 2) Consistency - over the years, you will still find your favorite blue teapot. You will find a jar of candy in the living room. There will be umbrellas, beach towels and cushions for you to borrow. The rooms look the same from year-to-year, and are furnished in a charming, old-fashioned way. You will be able to reach Jen readily, and she will respond promptly. You will be able to reconnect with other visitors who return year after year. 3) Safety/central location - the Summer House Inn is located close to the auditorium, which is very helpful when returning from late nite evening performances. It is a quick walk to the plaza, the park and the beach. 4) Individualized assistance - the help I needed from Jen was very different the first year, as compared to the help I needed after return visits. Jen is sensitive to the varying levels of help and advice needed to help you make the most of your Chatauqua experience. 5) Woman owned business - I am happy to support this! Can't go wrong with the Summer House Inn. See you next year!

Summer House Inn is a great place to stay!
This is our second stay at Summer House Inn, this time in Room 22 and before in Room 15. #15 was bigger with two full beds but #22 had more light and an adjoining porch. Plenty of refrigerator space, which we used for our breakfasts and lunches. Really love getting to know other friendly guests, in the dining room or on the front porch! Experience follows form, in the shape of an older, hospitable home.

The Perfect Place to Stay at CHQ!
We have been staying with Jen at the Summerhouse Inn for several years and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Wonderful accommodations and the communal kitchen is the heart of the Inn. Very convenient to both the Amp and Hall of Philosophy. We've made so many friends there and are already booked and looking forward to our stay next year.

A Great Find!
We booked for a single night to catch a concert at the amphitheater. As you may be aware, short term accommodations can be hard to find on the grounds. Jennifer made the process easy and was a fantastic host!

You will love the Summer House Inn
We have stayed at the Summer House Inn two different times and absolutely loved it. The owner, Jen, is fabulous -- she communicates well, she is readily available before and during the stay, and she hires great staff. The House is set up so it feels like you are staying in your own home. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Jen has lots of umbrellas, beach towels, cushions and more for visitors to use during their stay. There are so many porches that you can sit outside by yourself or you can join others for great conversation and camaraderie.We will stay here again and again. Thanks, Jen for this special gem in the middle of Chautauqua.
