Located in the heart of the historic Chautauqua Institution, only two doors from the Amphitheater, which hosts the majority of programming throughout the summer season, The Englewood House has been in operation as a boarding house since its founding in 1876.
This historic structure was converted into six new apartment spaces, while preserving the exterior of the historic Victorian house. The Treehouse is located on the 3rd floor (walk-up) and boast splendid views above the homes glimpsing the lake, the Amphitheater, and Bestor Plaza and Downtown Chautauqua. The living space features new appliances, hammock, gas 'woodstove,' A/C and ample porch spaces.

Englewood Treehouse
I am happy to add my glowing review of the Englewood Guest House to all of Olivia's other fans. This was our second stay (2015, then 2016), and I we've already planned for 2017. The location (moments from the Amp), the lovely guest house, lively porch discussions, and Olivia's friendly touches are some of the reasons that I'm already looking forward to our 2017 stay! Englewood Treehouse
I spent the final 2018 August week of The Chautauqua Institute with Olivia and guests at the Englewood. Delicious, nutritious breakfasts and super clean/comfortable room with easy shared bathroom. Location, Location, LOCATION! The Englewood is central and could not be better. Olivia (best of all!) is attentive, generous, gracious, and a fount of information making the stay easy and charming.
